SAM MERCHANT

Sam Merchant is a co-founder of MerchantCass Advisors.  His wealth of business experience through his years of growing company operations. underwriting many types of financings and sourcing strategic alliances domestically and internationally is a rich combination.  The Merchants Financial Group was founded by Mr. Merchant in the Atlanta area in 1986. The Merchants Financial Group has specialized in underwriting a broad spectrum of loans from  traditional United States Government Loans to hard to place specialized financing.  As a third generation family banker Mr. Merchant has operated and reviewed investments globally in many sectors including but not limited to commercial real estate, banking and finance, energy, telecommunication, mobile, agriculature, bio-tech, nano-tech, IT, new media, sports and entertainment, health care and manufacturing.  He is both a speciailist of small business and large cap public companies having worked with companies across the capital markets nationally and internationally. 

His transactional experience includes franchise, M & A, LBO's, and all types of real estate development.  He has a Bachelors degree in Commerce and Economics. 

NANCY CASS

Nancy Cass is a co-founder of MerchantCass Advisors. Ms. Cass works with emerging growth and middle market companies as an investment banker  Ms. Cass uses her depth of experience as transactional and securities counsel on many transactions to provide added value for clients throughout the investment banking engagement.

Prior to forming MerchantCass she was a Managing Director of the Investment Banking Group at a FINRA member broker dealer.   Ms. Cass began her investment banking career at Capitalink, an boutique Miami based investment banking firm that was acquired by Ladenburg Thalmann & Co., a New York Stock Exchange member firm. 

She has served as special legal counsel and as an advisor to companies across multiple sectors including biotech, healthcare, real estate and media. She is licensed to practice law in Illinois, Colorado, and Florida. Ms. Cass holds her Series 24, 7, 82,  79 and 63 license.
